Friday 31st October - walk **** – Felixstowe Ferry including picnic with Maeva – mainly cloudy with some light rain.

The cough continues but the shorts still went on despite it being mostly cloudy today with some light rain in the afternoon, I had a quick ride around Felixstowe looking for pumpkins to photograph for the TV weather as it’s Halloween, sadly a little disappointing! I went with Mag today to pick Maeva up and she was so pleased to see us, so grown up now with non-stop chat, just lovely. Their house has been decorated indoors with some lovely Halloween stuff and Maeva gave me a belated birthday present, some yummy biscuits in a brilliant personalised biscuit tin:) Then home for the usual Maeva Friday fun, starting off with some baking, we all helped to make sausage rolls, biscuits and a cake, with Maeva wearing for pig apron and chefs hat, she looked so cute:) Then I packed the sausage rolls for lunch and we headed out for a picnic in the van just as the rai started. As the weather was not great we just drove down to Felixstowe Ferry to park near the chapel to enjoy lunch wit Maeva’s favourite game of lights on lights off! She then said time for a walk as the rai had stopped so Mag put on her lovely all in one puddle jumping suit with avocets on and her wellies and we set off the the River Deben and it was breezy!!! We had fun taking selfies on a bench near the jetty where Maeva presses the shutter button and we run back to Mag on the bench grinning:) we then walk around the boatyard with Maeva jumping in every puddle her favourite thing at the moment, Mag got a slightly wet wet! With the tide low we walk down to the waters edge to throw stones inn the Deben before ambling back to the van and home for a cuppa. Maeva is tired so we have some quiet time with Peppa Pig before she bucks up once more and puts all the cushions on the floor to play the floor is larva!!! We have a lovely video call from our Grandson Arlo in Devon which Maeva loves before we take her home as she is going trick or treating and the town is full of kids dressed in spooky customs!
